The North Atlanta Boys basketball team finished their regular season on Wednesday night with a convincing win over Lithia Springs 65 – 42. Despite the challenges of the season which included no home game fans and a 14 day COVID hiatus, the team had one of its most successful regular seasons ever. The five starters were Charlie Hamilton, Kaleb Johnson, Khamani Olivacce, Montavious Myrick, and Tyson Motton. They led a balanced attack as each of the five averaged between 9 and 12 points a game and took turns playing the hero game to game. The team led the region in dunks (40 plus) with Montavious leading the way. Khamani was in state’s top 10 for assists and Charlie was one of the region’s leading 3-point marksmen. For the defensive fans out there Tyson led the team in charges taken and Kaleb provided several spectacular blocks. Check out Hudl.com for the highlights.
Now on to the playoffs!!!
The team’s opening playoff game will be at home on Tuesday, Feb 23 at 6:00PM against Houston County. You can also see home games broadcast live on NFHS.com. Should they win that game they will likely be headed to Savannah, Georgia for a game on Friday, Feb 26 or Saturday, Feb 27. Road trip anyone?!?!!
