The purpose of having a 9th grade  basketball teams is to have more players inclusion and provide an additional year for students-athletes to continue to develop their skills and provide them with an opportunity to show the coaching staff what they can do.

This being said, APS does not recognizes or financially support the 9th grade basketball team. The 9th grade team is considered a club team and thus must financially support it self independently. Team dues will include uniforms, warm-ups suit, cost of referees for home games, coaches stipend, also parents will be responsible for their child transportation to and from practice (6:00-8:00am) and all games. Please take this into consideration when signing your child up for the 9th grade team.

Team dues will be $500. And due on 10/25/2022.

All student-athletes trying out for boys basketball must be register on PRIVIT and have a new physical dated 03/31/22 or after. There are several form that must be signed by parents which will also be found on PRIVIT. No athlete can tryout if they do not receive a green clear message from PRIVIT. It is the parents responsibility to have this completed by 10/20/22. How to register on Privit:

On this website go to Athletic forms/PRIVIT tap at top:

1. Create an account if you don’t already have one.
2. Parents sign off on all documents and upload a current physical for the 22-23 school year. Physical must be good through 03/31/23. Physical are good for one year from the date of doctor signature.
3. 9th grade tryouts will be Monday October 24 from 4:00 - 5:30 pm. No one will be allow to tryout if not cleared through PRIVIT by October 20, 2022.
