On Tuesday, 1/19 the Lady Warriors lost to a very talented Lovejoy team (ranked #19 in the state of Georgia) on their home court. Leading all stats were Freshman Leela Langston with 13 points, 5 rebounds, and 2 steals and Sophomore Sarah Anne Hamilton with 2 points, 3 rebounds, and a steal. Next the girls travel to face the number one team in the state Westlake. Go Warriors!
On Saturday, 1/16 the Lady Warriors played Morrow High School at home defeating the Mustangs 55-36 in a strong showing from the young players. Leading all stats were Sophomore Caroline Clippinger with 19 points, 2 rebounds, 2 assists, and 6 steals; Freshman Leela Langston with 13 points, 3 rebounds, 4 assists, and 3 steals; Freshman Mia Stimpson with 7 points, 6 rebounds, 3 assists and 3 steals; and Freshman center Caili Holloway with 6 points, and 8 rebounds.
On Tuesday, 1/12/21 the varsity girls basketball team traveled to Morrow High School for a must win game. They found themselves down 8 points at the half only to rally in the second half with strong defense, and better shooting to capture a comeback win over the Mustangs. The final score was 31-23. Leading all stats were Junior Franki Kimche-Gilstrap with 9 points and 6 rebounds; Sophomore Lanier Beckham with 7 points, 9 rebounds and 5 steals; Freshman Leela Langston with 6 points and 5 rebounds; and Sophomore Caroline Clippinger with 6 points, 8 rebounds and 2 steals. Next the girls travel to Lakeside and then will face Morrow again on their home court. Go Warriors!
