The North Atlanta Water Warriors swim and dive team hosted the 6th annual Kickoff Classic this weekend at Washington Park pool. A total of 13 local Atlanta teams attended with over 400 swimmers.  North Atlanta finished a close 2nd place for the girls and 4th place for our boys.

Even with a depleted squad (most many of our sophomores and juniors were working on their AP scores!!), the girls were only nine points away from taking the top spot. The boys were 16 from the 3rd spot.

Swimmers of the Meet

The girls' "swimmer of the meet" is Freshman Erin Hicks, winner of the 500 Free and 2nd place finisher in the 200 Free, as well as a double state qualifier in both events.  The boys' "swimmer of the meet" goes to Junior Kevin Lockhart, who bettered his time in both the 50 Free and the 100 Free by over three seconds.
