On Friday night the North Atlanta Boys basketball team played one of their toughest games of the season pulling out an exciting one-point win over Langston Hughes, 66-65.  Trailing by 7 with less than 3 minutes remaining, Tyson Motton led a comeback with 8 straight points including back to back 3-point baskets.  With 7 seconds left and North Atlanta down one with the ball, our point guard Khamani Olivacce drove by his man and hit a short jumper with less than a second remaining to secure the win.  Tyson Motton led all scorers with 22 points. Kaleb Johnson  and Montavious Myrick contributed 15 and 10 points respectively while notching multiple morale building dunks.  TJ Lewis came off the bench to nail two clutch 3 point baskets and Cam Ratcliff came in late to provide some tough situational defense.  This was the team’s 8th consecutive win and runs their record to 13 – 2 and 5 – 1 in region play.   North Atlanta is currently ranked 12th in the state.

Their next three games are: Tuesday, Jan 12 against Morrow (A); Friday, Jan 15 against Lakeside (A); and Saturday, Jan 16 against Morrow (H).
